Dear members of AMARC,****

** **
This is a call for proposals for hosting the third regional
assembly/conference of AMARC Asia Pacific. Interested community radio
station, association, and federation of community radios in the Asia
Pacific region are welcome to send their proposals. ****** **Please follow
the format given below for submitting your proposals. ****** **The Regional
Board of AMARC Asia Pacific will evaluate the proposals and arrive at a
final decision. The board may seek information beyond what is provided in
the first proposal for analysing the proposals. At the second stage of
evaluation, members of the RBOD or individual(s) assigned by the RBOD may
make field visits to ascertain the ground situation. Usually, more value is
attached to proposals that stand to make substantial contribution to the
development of the CR sector in a sub-region and commit to greater resource
mobilisation. ****

The third AMARC Asia-Pacific Conference is expected to take place in
November 2013 at a date to be determined later by Regional Board of AMARC
Asia Pacific in consultation with the local host. The main aim of the
conference is to ensure active participation of the Asia-Pacific members of
AMARC in what will be a major step forward for development of our network
in the region and the sector as a whole in the Asia-Pacific region. ****

** **

If you wish to respond to this challenge please let us know by
[...contacting...] the Regional Coordinator, AMARC Asia Pacific, email;

*Proposals for hosting the AMARC AP 3rd regional assembly/conference must
include a copy of the decision in this regard of the governing board of the
proposing organization clearly specifying the person designated to
coordinate with AMARC. *

* *

Please note that AMARC is a grassroots organization, driven by its members
and their interests. In the interest of solidarity and ensuring maximum
participation, preference will be given to proposals that can ensure
facilitating travel expenses and reasonably priced, clean accommodation and
conference venue, thus bringing the maximum number of participants to the
meeting. *Value will be given to proposals offering
partnerships/collaborations with women organizations, indigenous people's
organizations, and organizations working for minorities such as migrant
people, LGBTI community, etc. *
