JANGAN MARAH RECORDS
 
Jangan Marah Records adalah sebuah indie label yang didirikan di Jakarta pada 2010 oleh kelompok musik Efek Rumah Kaca.
 
Kecintaan akan musik, semangat untuk bertahan dan berkembang, serta hasrat memperkenalkan lagu-lagu yang kami suka, adalah segala yang menjadikan kami mendirikan label mungil ini. Label yang akan menjadi salah satu rumah bersama bagi kami dan teman-teman musisi independen aneka genre untuk terus berupaya memproduksi rilisan, membangun jaringan, dan berkomunikasi.
 
Tentunya indie label semacam ini sudah cukup banyak dikenal di berbagai kota di Indonesia. Kehadiran Jangan Marah Records adalah inisiatif meneruskan dan melengkapi kebutuhan akan label semacam ini. Memberi ruang baru bagi kami dan sesama musisi.
Menambah ruang pilihan musik bagi publik.
 
Keterbatasan di sana-sini pasti akan selalu terjadi. Namun kami berusaha untuk bisa memaksimalkannya dan menghasilkan kebebasan karya sebaik mungkin.
 
Di tahun ini, Jangan Marah Records berencana untuk memproduksi sejumlah rilisan, baik mini album maupun album.  Beberapa produksi rilisan tersebut adalah hasil bekerjasama dengan indie label lainnya. Sejauh ini, beberapa artis yang akan bergabung bersama kami  adalah: Zeke Khaseli, bangkutaman, The Kucruts, dan Sir Dandy. Di luar itu, tentunya Jangan Marah Records akan memproduksi rilisan-rilisan Efek Rumah Kaca.
 
Nantikan rilis tour bersama talent Jangan Marah Records ke sembilan kota di seluruh Jawa......

Celebrating its golden jubilee year, Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur
(IIT-K) became the first IIT of the country to have its own campus community
radio station.

Director of IIT-K, Sanjay Govind Dhande, inaugurated the campus community
radio station on Friday.

With the help of the community radio, the institute authorities aim to
provide information regarding agriculture, science, career, medical updates
and education for the people. For entertainment of listeners, classical
music will be played on the radio station for a short duration.

Set up at a cost of Rs 30 lakh approximately, the radio station will
initially have a four-hour airtime.

The IIT-K community radio channel at 90.4 MHZ has been given a two-hour
broadcast time in the morning and two hours in the evening. Radio Jockey
Amit Tripathi has been hired by the institute to host its programmes and
Reema Mittal has been appointed as the in-charge of production of the radio
station.

Afghan Radio Connect is an internet-based initiative to link the Afghan
Diaspora abroad and Afghanistan's local independent radio sector. Internews
Europe, Nai - Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan, and Education for
Sustainability Network (ESN) are collaborating to increase the visibility of
local Afghan radio worldwide and to offer services to the Afghan diasporas
abroad, hopefully thereby creating an opportunity for this fragile sector to
be sustained.
Communication StrategiesThrough this information and communication
technology (ICT) media development project, Afghanistan's 33 independent
local radio stations are offered an online presence through the interactive
Afghan Radio Connect web platform. Since 2003, Internews and Nai have built
30 of these radio stations and have jointly trained their staff. In January
2007, they began using the internet to connect the local network of local
independent stations in Afghanistan and to support them in achieving
financial independence.

To begin, organisers trained the staff of the stations in the use of an
internet content management system, helped them build their websites, and
supported them in developing an e-commerce platform which allows people
around the world to pay for personal announcements to be broadcast on the
stations (as well as to give donations). Nai also provides ongoing support,
as needed, with individual radio stations' regular website updates. (The
country has been subdivided in 7 areas, in which each of the radio stations
can contact a "base station" which has access to the internet and help them
update their website.)

The Afghan Radio Connect website aims to be the first stop on the way to the
33 Afghan local radio stations' websites. On the home page, an interactive
map is designed to enable people to quickly locate where each radio station
operates and read the latest local news that has been published on each
partner radio station's website. Organisers hope that, after having spent
some time on Afghan Radio Connect, people will click directly to go to (and
bookmark) the websites of the radio stations of interest. An RSS feed was
set up to ensure that people can stay in touch with the latest local news
from the Afghan Radio Connect; an e-newsletter is also offered.

Each radio's website facilitates direct access (where available) to the
personal announcement service. For a small fee, anyone around the world can
have a message read by a speaker on the chosen radio station's airwaves. "By
using this service you also support the radio sector in Afghanistan, and
help the radio stations to inform their communities." When an announcement
request is submitted, the platform automatically alerts the radio station's
staff by email. If the staff do not have easy access to the internet, Nai or
the base station in their area will alert them. Once the message is
broadcast, the radio station's staff then send a confirmation email to the
customer and validate that the message has been broadcast. Nai's staff also
monitor the programmes on which the messages will be broadcast to ensure
that the messages have been aired. Payment for the messages is facilitated
through Paypal or a PIN number. Internews Europe, Nai, and the radio
stations have access to a complete record of the transactions made on the
platform and also receive the bank statements of the Afghan Radio Connect
bank account to ensure the complete transparency of the process.

Translators, web developers, online marketers, and Afghan diaspora
associations are also urged to contribute their skills to the project.

It's one thing when Palin talks about energy policy and about standing up
to Alaska's good ol' boy network and the oil companies. There's some truth
to those things. In fact, although she tends to be blurry with facts,
there is usually some germ of truth behind her obfuscations.

But there is absolutely no truth in what she said about "we" (and by that
I can assume she's talking about what she did when she was the governor)
taking steps "to incentivize more health care providers to come here to
supply more health care."

In fact, according to the American Medical Association, Alaska was one of
five states where, between 1998 and 2007, an increase in population did
not lead to a proportional increase in the number of doctors. Since, the
number of doctors in Alaska has declined.

Alaska, which has one of the least restrictive insurance markets, is
dominated by two insurance companies that control over 96 percent of the
market. Premera Blue Cross insures about 60 percent of the market, while
Aetna insures more than 30 percent. And what they offer is some of the
most expensive coverage in the U.S.
