The Women International Network of the World Association of Community Radio
Broadcasters (AMARC-WIN) will organize the 8th annual International Women's
Day Broadcast Campaign. The theme of this year is "Women Empowerment
sustainable development and Climate Change."
This is the 20th anniversary of the Rio climate Change conference, so the
theme of AMARC's International Women's Day program this year is about the
active participation of women in sustainable development and in the
struggle against climate change and for democratization of societies.
The campaign will be broadcast starting at 1:00 AM GMT, Monday March 8th
and will broadcast at http://march8.amarc.org . Please send your programs
by March 4th.
AMARC WIN believes that women can be active agents of change when they can
acess to voice themselves. They should take on leadership roles in leading
their countries and communities towards long-term sustainable development,
fight against climate change and democratization of their societies.
In the road to Rio+20, AMARC WIN would like to build on its local capacity
and expertise to generate more support for Women's active participation in
sustainable development processes, against climate change and
democratization of societies. Through the international broadcast campaign,
we hope to stimulate discussions about women's role in ameliorating their
livelihoods, in shaping long-term sustainable community development and to
confront the crisis created by climate change.
We hope that this multilingual broadcast campaign will contribute to the
discussion on these issues and in identifying practical as well as
long-term solutions.
How to send your programs:
Please produce spots with the theme of the campaign and send it send them
to us with your audio programs by March 4th and/or your written info
regarding this campaign via https://www.wetransfer.com
It is a web based transfer platform for large files directly over the
Internet bypassing email and FTP systems. On recipient email write:
secretariat@si.amarc.org Webcast will begin at 1:00 am GMT on Monday March
8. To see a more detailed schedule and for further information visit our
website: http://march8.amarc.org . Radio stations around the globe are
invited to download the audio files from the AMARC-WIN 8 March website and
broadcast them in their radio stations.

Le Réseau International des Femmes de l'association mondial des Radios
Communautaires (AMARC-RIF) organisera la huitième campagne de diffusion
annuelle sur la journée mondiale des femmes. Le thème pour cette année : «
L'empouvoirement des femmes et la lutte pour le developpement, contre le
changement climatique et pour la démocratisation des sociétés ». Le Webcast
débutera à 1:00 AM GMT, le lundi 8 mars et sera radiodiffusée sur
l'Internet à l'adresse suivante: http://march8.amarc.org Veuillez nous
envoyer vos programmes vers le 4 Mars.
L'AMARC -RIF croit que les femmes peuvent être des acteurs sociaux de
premier plan lorsque lorsqu'elles arrivent à prendre la parole. Elles
