Journalists from conflict zones invited to apply for peace building grant

Journalists from Afghanistan, Colombia, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, and
Sudan interested in pursuing a peace building project can apply for a
United States Institute of Peace grant. Applications are accepted on a
rolling basis.

Films, radio programs, or projects in any news medium that enhance the
knowledge and practice of conflict prevention, conflict management, and
post-conflict peace building are eligible for acceptance. Awards typically
range from US$45,000 to US$140,000.

The application is a multi-staged process. Applicants must first submit an
overview of the project. The institute requires the applicant to provide a
non-profit organization that will receive and manage the funds.
