regional emergencies. "The Use of Social Media in Disasters" will be
co-hosted by Andy Carvin (Senior Strategist, Social Media Desk, NPR) and
David Stephenson (Stephenson Strategies and SAFER Emergency Consultant).
The discussion will include how to integrate social media tools into
disaster-response planning; social media best practices in disasters; and
case studies and recent examples of effective uses of social media tools
in disaster coverage and response.
