subjects, ranging from daily life at school, on the Rights of the Child, on
climate change to inter-religious dialogue. The children that participated
in these exchanges became acquainted with foreign countries and cultures in
addition to having discussed the issues that most affect their respective
communities in a the realization that these global challenges can only be
faced in a concerted effort.

Kinderhilfswerk) has the highest endowment for a prize for child and youth
participants in Germany. The Prize is awarded to exemplary projects that
engage children and youth in shaping their environment. The jury that
selects the nominated projects for the award are members of the German
advisory committee of the Children's Fund.
