CMFD Productions is currently producing a 10-part radio documentary series
on urban food security in Southern Africa, which will include the voices and
perspectives of those most affected, as well as commentary by experts,
researchers, organisations, government representatives, business, and others
- to better understand the scope and context of this important issues. The
series is being produced for the African Food Security Urban Network (AFSUN)
to help communicate their extensive research into the issue, as well as
raise awareness. The documentaries will be distributed to radios stations,
with an accompanying drama and radio presenter's guide.
We are looking for freelance interviews in Southern Africa to fill in some
gaps in the interviews and documentation we have already done. We are
looking for raw interviews, no editing necessary, on the following topics:
. Personal experiences of food insecurity - how are people
affected, and why are they food insecure?
. Supermarket trends in Southern Africa - how has supermarket
expansion affected consumers, producers?
. Food on the move - internal and cross-border food trade (formal
and informal)
Interested freelancers should send and email to deb@cmfd.org with
. Name, country, contact details
. Brief overview of experience (a line or 2 is fine)
. Equipment you are using to record
. If possible, potential source idea for the above mentioned topics
Thanks,
Deborah
