[creative-radio] Re: Audacious and awesome new book about Youth Radio

GREAT FIND GEORGE

I'd be interested to see what others in the group think about this email from NFCB when I attempted to help them see that we could help them revive their youth radio program.

"Teaching young people how to do radio doesn't seem particularly relevant."

still makes me nutz after all these months I've held on to this email... read on...
___

Jeff--this is a very generous offer. But. I'm not sure this is much of a priority for us now. Teaching young people how to do radio doesn't seem particularly relevant. More relevant would be teaching adults how to do digital media. So what did you have in mind?

Subject: Re: National Youth in Radio Training Project Conference?

I can offer support as I believe youth education in radio is essential
to it's survival.

Please contact me if there is any way we can help, I would like to
have the next Youth Conference in Portland in 2011 - what should be
the goal for fundraising to make this happen?

Thank you for your time; excited to bring back this important element
of NFCB!
