[creative-radio] RNTC Broadcast Radio Courses - Training the Trainers and Broadcast Management

RNTC, a centre for media, development and education based in the
Netherlands, is offering two courses which broadcasters might find
interesting. Deadline for both courses is September 15, 2011. Some
fellowships to cover costs are available. Click on the relevant link below
for more details.

*Broadcast Management.* The course will focus on the knowledge, skills and
attitudes needed by managers in broadcast journalism and programming. This
includes attention to leadership and management styles best suited to
working with journalistic and creative programme staff.

*Training the Trainers.* The course will focus on the knowledge, skills and
attitudes a trainer needs to organize, design and develop effective and
efficient training solutions for their organisation, focusing on the
broadcasting sector.

Uprising's weekly edition is a perfect fit for weekend public affairs
programming, and is available for community stations nationwide.

includes access to programs such as Uprising, Free Speech Radio News,

Uprising began as a daily morning drive time show based at KPFK, Los
Angeles, in Summer 2003. The weekly edition consists of the best of our
national and international programming produced on our daily show.

The show has grown in popularity and responded to a national demand for
community-based public affairs content, through it's 1-hour weekly edition.

Regular features include: "*The Black Agenda Report*", "*Empire Notes*" with
Rahul Mahajan, and "*Sonali's Subversive Thought for the Day*".
