[creative-radio] Share your radio programs on World Food Day “Agricultural cooperatives – key to feeding the world”

Share your programs on World Food Day!
Montreal, September 10th, 2012. The World Association of Community Radio
Broadcasters (AMARC) will organize once again its annual World Food Day
Broadcast Campaign. The theme of this year is agricultural cooperatives.
The programs received will be broadcast in the podcast section of the
webpage http://www2.amarc.org/?q=node/727 of the campaign.
"Agricultural cooperatives – key to feeding the world" is the formal
wording of the 2012 theme. It has been chosen to highlight the role of
cooperatives in improving food security and contributing to the eradication
of hunger. Interest in cooperatives and rural organizations is also
reflected in the decision of the UN General Assembly to designate 2012
"International Year of Cooperatives." For more information on the FAO
campaign, click here.http://www.fao.org/getinvolved/worldfoodday/en/
AMARC would like to build on its local capacity and expertise to generate
more support for citizens' active participation in sustainable development
processes, against climate change and democratization of societies. You can
produce programs on this year theme, which is agricultural cooperatives, or
on any theme related to food security and hunger, for examples on the
causes and solutions to hunger. Any format and duration will be broadcast,
but we encourage you to produce magazines of an approximately 15 minutes'
duration.

a network of more than 4,000 community radios, Federations and community
media stakeholders in more than 130 countries. The main global impact of
AMARC since its creation in 1983, has been to accompany and support the
establishment of a worldwide community radio sector that has democratized
the media sector. AMARC advocates for the right to communicate at the
international, national, local and neighbourhood levels and defends and
promotes the interests of the community radio movement through solidarity,
