[creative-radio] Help improve I-Power: Use Crowd Support, Not Bribes, to Redress Public Grievance

Dear Friends,

I am looking for feedback on setting up the "I-Power" platform in India.

People in developing countries are hesitant to engage with governments. Most do not trust government officials to act honestly and resolve their public grievances quickly. Many end up paying bribes, using middlemen or currying favours for government officials to get their work done quickly.

Those who do not, because of their ethics or financial situation, are deprived of redress. This raises the cost of engaging with governments for everyone, and penalises those who do not pay bribes.

Surely there has to be a better way to engage with governments?

Enter I-Power:

I-Power is a an easy to use web and mobile based platform which allows people to redress their public grievances by making use of available legal options and the support of crowd and other like-minded citizens, instead of paying bribes.

A short concept note is available at:

https://www.newschallenge.org/open/open-government/submission/i-power-resolve-pubic-grievances-legally-with-crowd-support-and-without-bribes/

If you find it useful, please share "comments" via the above link - because it will help fine-tune and improve the platform!

Organisations willing to host and support this platform are equally welcome.

Best regards,
Vikas Nath
