awarded by the German child-aid organization "Deutsches
Kinderhilfswerk".
The Project, "Radijojo's Berliner Media Summercamp" has been nominated for
the Goldene Göre Prize for projects involving Children and Youth awarded by
the German Children's Fund, (Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk). The Prize, worth
10,000€ will be awarded at the 40th anniversary of The German Children's
Fund Gala celebrationon on March 11th, 2012 in the Berliner Friedrichstadt
Palast. Four projects have been selected by the jury from more than 100
projects benefiting children and youth that were submitted for the
nomination for this year's prize. The projects nominated for the award are
originally from Ahrensburg, Wangen in the Allgäu region, Weimar and from
Berlin. Radijojo's Media Summercamp project will be introduced by T.V.
host, Ingo Dubinski in a short clip that was filmed in Berlin's Wedding
District.

The Radijojo Media Summercamp is a project that documents cross-cultural
encounters among children via video-conferences with their peers on 5
continents. In these exchanges, the children discuss a multitude of
subjects, ranging from daily life at school, on the Rights of the Child, on
climate change to inter-religious dialogue. The children that participated
in these exchanges became acquainted with foreign countries and cultures in
addition to having discussed the issues that most affect their respective
communities in a the realization that these global challenges can only be
faced in a concerted effort.

The "Goldene Göre Prize" of the German Children's Fund, (Deutsches
Kinderhilfswerk) has the highest endowment for a prize for child and youth
participants in Germany. The Prize is awarded to exemplary projects that
engage children and youth in shaping their environment. The jury that
selects the nominated projects for the award are members of the German
advisory committee of the Children's Fund.

The Medienhaus reader's award from the familie & co. magazine will be also
be awarded at the ceremony. The awards ceremony will be hosted by T.V.
personality, Cherno Jobatey and will take place in the Berliner
Friedrichstadt Palast.
