Les correspondants à Conakry pour l'Agence France-Presse (AFP) et Radio
France Internationale (RFI), et pour la British Broadcasting Corporation
(BBC) ont fait l'objet de menaces de mort. Après avoir été brutalisés lors
de la sanglante répression de l'opposition le 28 septembre 2009, les deux
journalistes font l'objet de recherches de la part la junte militaire.
Pour leur sécurité, ces deux correspondants sont actuellement contraints
de se cacher.

Les militaires ont pris pour cibles le 28 septembre les nombreux
journalistes qui ont été dépêchés par leurs rédactions respectives pour
couvrir le meeting. Au moins trois d'entre eux ont été passés à tabac par
des militaires et ont dû être évacués d'urgence dans une clinique de
Conakry. Le seul reproche qu'on leur fait, c'est d'avoir fait leur boulot
: celui de retransmettre sur les ondes de leur radio les échos du stade du
28 septembre.
