Subject: [Coordination] Haiti - AMARC action

Dear all

You will have heard the news from Haiti today.
The AMARC International Secretariat is making an immediate assessment of the
situation including any damage to community radio stations and news of our
friends and colleagues. I have written to the Haitian community radio
support organisation, SAKS and to AMARC Haiti (below). We have not yet had
any response. It seems that communication systems are badly damaged.

Depending on our assessment we may launch an appeal for specific assistance
for community media workers and for reconstruction of any community radios

If you receive any news, or can make offers of assistance, please let us

Best wishes
