In 8, March, International Women's Day, the women division of Environment
Cycle Radio (ECR F.M. 104.2 MHz 'Women Division is Member of World
Association of Community Radio Broadcaster (AMARC)'s Women International
Networks (WIN) and International Association of Women in Radio and
Television (IAWRT), on the Chairman Presence of National Women's
Commission's (NWC) Mrs. Nainkala Thapa.The chief Guest Mrs. Thapa told that
the underdevelopment of Nation is due to broadcasting to women and added
that the challenge today is how to get the way to being out that the ECR
F.M104.2Mhz. should reach the every corner of the country to ascend the
quantity of women service. According to Mrs. Thapa, since the natural
environment and political environment are interrelated to each other the
women should step forward to improvise both. She praised the effort of YAEF
for the development of environment and women's development send hoped for
its continuity. She promised to put her full support on this type of
activity.

The representative of Nepali Kangress Lalitpur District Committee. Mrs.
Ghana Khatiwada, Representative of All Nepal Women Krantikari Association
Central Member Ms Shushla Khatiwada, Constituent member of Mrs. Radha
Timilsina, also gave their speech on the occasion.The Executive Chairman of
Chief Editor/Publisher Dr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan, on her speech, informed
that the women's division of ECR F.M. 104.2 MHz got their membership on
international women's day, March 8th, 2005 and got its establishment as its
department on May 10th.

The chairmanship of women's division was held by the President of the
division, Ms Ratan Maya Awal and the welcome speech was delivered by the
Programme Presenter Mrs Punam Malakar. The announcements for this Programme
was performed by Mrs. Sandhya K.C. the Executive Member of this division.

This Programme has also selected Mr Ratna Maya Awal as the division
Chairman, Mrs Laxmi Khanal as the vice-president, Ms Amrita Paudel as the
secretary, Mrs Rajan Shrestha as the under secretary, Mrs Bal Kumari Ghale
as the treasurer on the
general acceptance. Similarly, Mrs Punam Malakar , Ms Akrity Paudel, Mrs.
Sandhya K.C,Ms Sumita Rajbahaka,Ms Sandhya K.C, ,Ms Hira Maya Awal ,Ms Anita
Maharjan

This division is also launching programs related to women and children, 3
hours and 1 hour per day respectively. The total time utilized by Women
division is 4 hours on daily basis through E.C.R. FM. 104.2 MHz for the
women to literate and to expose their field of journalism too. Altogether,
ECR F.M. broadcast from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM i.e. 18 hours daily.
